Abstract

Is it possible to use the Thomist principles to create a new synthesis of the knowledge according with the new scientist advances? This is the question we try to answer following the basic guidelines of the Maritainian Thomism. The article is divided in two parts in the first one the general notion of knowledge is characterized, in the second part the speculative knowledge is structured and classified –in a general way–. We discover the right frame to recover the integrity of the Human Knowledge in a vital and organic unity.
