Portugal, Spain and football. The historical construction of a friendship

Football is one of the most important social and cultural phenomena in Portugal and Spain, responsible for building solid ties of friendship between the two countries in the 20th century. This article aims to identify the reasons for the emergence of this Pan-Iberian relationship in football, focusing on how the friendship developed and became established over the first half of the 20th Century.
