This work explores Francisco Umbral’s poetic side, specifically through his use of fourteen syllables clauses, not only in his low production in verse but also in his usual prose writing, having persisted in using these techniques in two of the works from his final stage, known as Diarios íntimos (Intimate Diaries), and also in the book of poems published posthumously.
