Abstract

Open Movement corresponds to the group of efforts of individuals, forums, organizations and institutions who or which postulate an open, inclusive and participative vision of both the Internet and digital goods. There are six main branches to the movement that relate to the different fields in which they operate: software, scientific communication, educational materials, cultural creation, maker production and the neutrality of the network. This paper offers a synthetic view of both this movement and its fundamental characteristics and contributions.
