This paper presents some thoughts built near 10 years of experimentation in teaching innovation stimulated by the process of building the European Higher Education Area. Some of these thoughts have to do with how much of the faculty who has embarked on the adventure is experiencing the process of teaching innovation. Other thoughts relate to how the institution is facilitating (or rather should facilitate) the process of change.
