The Asturias writer, Angeles Villarta’s literary career is studied specially paying attention to her novel Una Mujer Fea (An ugly woman) which won the first Femina prize created by the publishing house Editorial Colenda in 1953. Her journalistic career is described along with her work as books and magazines’ publisher.
